Two and a half years ago, my husband (fiance at the time) and I purchased our first home. We scoured maps of our part of the world, searching for the perfect neighborhood, and ended up narrowing our quest to an area four blocks wide and twelve blocks long. Fortunately, we found "the one", moved in, and shortly thereafter, a brutal Wisconsin winter set in. Wading amidst the snow drifts, our snowblower routes crossed paths with all of our new neighbors. Bundled in layers of warmth, noses growing red, we shook hands and introduced ourselves. We realized that we not only had a welcoming and wonderful neighborhood...but that it truly is a small world, too.
Small enough that our neighbor across the street attended high school with my hubby! At the time, she and her husband had a beautiful new baby girl, Keira. Over these past couple years, we have had the unique opportunity to reunite or to enjoy a new friendship. Recently, they added onto their family, welcoming a sweet baby girl, Nora Audrey, shared below, at less than two weeks old. Welcome to the neighborhood, little one.
